How to fix "Installation Incomplete" issue while installing the C# (or VB) Demo
Site of "The Gridview to Excel Export Tool" on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows
Server 2008.
Installation Issue on Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008 Server
During the installation of either the C# or VB Demo Site of the Gridview to
Excel Export Tool on any of above O.S. you may get the following "Installation
Incomplete" error:
If you restart the installer, as suggested in the window, you get the same error
again.
To fix this issue, IIS 6 Management Compatibility Tools should be enabled on
your system.
To achieve this perform following steps - screenshots refer to a
Windows Server 2008 R2 system:
Click the Server Manager Icon:
Following screen will display:
Navigate the treeview to the Web Server (IIS) node; then locate the Web Server Management Tools.
If they are not installed, such as in the above picture, locate and click the
Add Role Services link in the same window.
Next screen will show up:
Scroll down until you locate the IIS 6 Management Compatibility checkbox.
Check it and press next.
On next screen press Install to confirm the request.
Press Next to start installation. When installation is finished next screen will
show up:
Press Close and retry the Gridview to
Excel Demo Site installation.
