How to install the C# and/or VB Web Demo Sites for Gridview to Excel Export Tool 2.0.0
Following screenshots refer to a Windows Server 2008 R2 Installation.
Requirements
In order to install the Gridview to Excel C#/VB Demo Sites following requirements must be fullfilled:
- The Gridview to Excel Export Tool must already be installed
- Sql Server AdventureWorks database must be available
- Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 users should enable
IIS 6 Compatibility Tools on their machines. Click

- Vista, Windows 7 users should change User Account Control settings.

- Administrator rights are required
- An Internet connection is required
Installation Steps
Next screenshots refer to a Windows 2008 R2 Server.
Press Start, All Programs, Gridview to Excel Export Tool 2.0, GEET C# Demo,
select "GEET 2.0 C# Demo site Download and Install"
This command will download the C# "Gridview to Excel Export Tool" Demo Site Installation
Package from this site.
You may either run the software immediately or save it to any folder on your computer and
run it after download. We suggest you to to Press Save, choose a folder on your computer, download
the will start and following popup will display:
When download is finished, click Open Folder.
Then double click the GEET20CsharpSDKSetup.msi package (or the
GEET20VBSDKSetup.msi package in case you're running VB DEmo site installation):

This will display next popup window:
Set following installation options:
We recommend to modify neither the Site nor the Virtual Directory name.
Then press next and next window will popup:
Press Next to start installation. On next screen press Close.
Eventually installation is finished.
Now you can start the Demo Site by pressing Start, All Programs, The Gridview to
Excel Export Tool 2.0, GEET C# Demo, GEET 2.0 C# Demo Site Start:
After a few seconds next screen will appear:
This is the default page of the C# Gridview to Excel Export Tool Demo
Site.
Before proceeding further you need to set up the Sql Server Connection to the
AdventureWorks database.
In order to perform this follow next steps,
Run IIS 7 Manager (next screenshots are referred to a Windows 2008 R2 Server):

Navigate the treeview until you locate the GEET20CSharp Virtual Directory inside
the Default Web Site.

Locate the Connection Strings Icon inside the main window:

Double click the Connection Strings Icon. The list of the connection strings of
the "Gridview to Excel export Tool" C# Demo Site demo site will display:

Very important: ignore the HitsLogSDKConnectionString. It's absolutely
useless on your machine unless your server is named Mainserver and you've got a
database with my Surname. If you think it may harm your system you can change it
as you like.In any case please don't delete it since is referenced nt xhtml.
Now, proceed with the Connection string setup to the Adventure Works database by
double clicking the first line. Next screen will show up:

What you're looking at is the default connection string. It may suits your
needs or not.
Next windows shows setup for my system:
Next window shows the credential setup for my system.

When you're finished, press Ok, Ok.
The run Internet Explorer and paste in the browser follwing address:
http://localhost/GEET20CSharp. Next
screen will show up:

The click the GEET Easiest link on the menu bar of the form. Next Form will show
up. If you press any of the export Button you can perform your firdt Excel
Export on your computer.
Of course Excel is required to properly evaluate export results.
