Installation of the Gridview to Excel Export Tool on Windows 7 requires the IIS
6 Compatibility Management Tools.
During the installation of either the C# or VB Demo Site of the Gridview to
Excel Export Tool on Windows 7 you may get following error: Installation Incomplete.
"Installation Incomplete" issue in Windows 7
Just after starting the Gridview to Excel Export C#/VB Tool Demo Site installation on Windows 7
you get next error:
If you restart the installer, as suggested in the window, you get the same error
again.
To fix this issue, IIS 6 Management Compatibility Tools should be enabled on
your system.
To enable IIS 6 Management Compatibility Tools perform following steps (screenshots refer to a
Windows 7 Ultimate):
Start the Control Panel:
Click the Programs and Features link.
Following screen will display:
Click the Turn Windows features on or off link.
Following screen will display:
Locate and expand the Internet Information Services Node:
Locate and expand the Web Management Tools Node:
Locate and expand the
IIS 6 Management Compatibility Tools Node:
Check all the features inside the IIS 6 Management Compatibility Tools Node:
Then click OK. Windows will take some time to install selected features.
At this point you can run the Demo Site installation again. Click
here in case you get
next error:
Otherwise next window will display and you'll be able to proceed with
installation.
